Whenever the corporate press attacks something that hasn’t even been released yet, you know the creators are on to destroying their narrative (or “agenda,” really). When truly repugnant politicians attack that same something at the same time, you that the creators are right over the target. The more these Cathedral operatives freak out about their narratives being dismantled, the more that means that whatever (or whoever) is doing the dismantling is very much worth looking into. It’s the Streisand effect being set in motion and these Cathedral operatives are too stupid to know any better.
When I saw that this was happening to Tucker Carlson’s Patriot Purge documentary, I figured I had to give it a shot. I mean, if alleged news organizations, alleged Republican and daughter of a war criminal Liz Cheney, and Democrat Eric “Fart” Swalwell are all preemptively attacking this series before it’s even released, then it’s got to be at least worth checking out.
I’ve never been to Washington DC (thank the Lord) and I hope that I never have to go there. That being said, I wasn’t particularly thrilled with what happened on January 6th, 2021. I thought it made MAGA look clownish as I was watching it all unfold in real time via livestreams and Twitter, but I wasn’t in the same horror that I was in when 9/11 happened or when the marathon bombings that occurred in Boston took place. As the months went by it was pretty clear that while crimes were committed on January 6th they didn’t even come close to the damage that was done by those attacks, let alone the 2020 summer riots. Yet the corporate press and uni-party members were talking about January 6th as if it was literally worse than 9/11 and comparing it to the damage done to “our democracy” during the Civil War… where *650,000* Americans died to save the Union and abolish slavery. And at the same time I was seeing reports from alternative (and much more honest) outlets debunking a lot of the narratives being pushed by the corporate press about January 6th. What the hell was going on? What actually happened on the ground on January 6th? These are the questions (and much more) that Patriot Purge was made to answer and document.
If you have been following the updates about January 6th it’s still very much worth watching Patriot Purge. Part One in particular isn’t what I would call an introduction to the subject. It is much more of a reintroduction that begins to correct the story of what truly happened and what the security state’s real agenda with it is. Early on, Darren Beattie of Revolver News clearly and concisely lays out how the War On Terror is being turned inward on right-leaning US citizens under the guise of “white supremacist terrorism,” otherwise known colloquially as the War On Terror 2.0. Through out this episode it becomes abundantly clear that Beattie is the unsung hero of this whole debacle as he exposes the truth about what happened that day and the lies told by the corporate press about it.
The documentary does actual journalism (take note, Brian “Soybean” Stelter) and interviews someone that should be interviewed by all of the outlets that covered January 6th. That person is Ali Alexander, the lead organizer of the Stop The Steal movement and the rally that took place just before the events at the Capitol. He explains what happened from his view, how the rally was planned, what the true intentions were, etc. — facts that seem to be hidden from the general public. Using maps and taped phone calls with elected politicians he backs his story up quite well. The tragic part of this is because of what happened later on January 6th, he has been pretty much un-personed from the internet.
Part One of Patriot Purge also does something that the majority of the corporate press seem to refuse to do and that is talk to the actual people who were on the ground at the Capitol that day. The film makers interview several journalist who were there in the middle of the chaos. Blaze Media’s Elijah Schaffer in particular does a great job of breaking down what he witnessed and the people he describes as professional agitators who encouraged some in the crowd into going inside the building.
Seems farfetched, right? Not so much. Later on, Patriot Purge features Michael Waller, a former professional agitator who worked for the United States government during the Cold War. With his expertise, Waller delves into how the January 6th chaos was ignited by agents provocateurs. His analysis is eerie, but quite informative and fascinating nonetheless.
Stylistically, Patriot Purge creates a great sense of urgency for the viewer. It’s edited beautifully specifically because of the interspersed collages of early-War On Terror news clips and propaganda followed by contemporary propaganda about January 6th. And boy is it damning! All of it. And to weave it all together is Tucker Carlson, who acts as the narrator through out the entire piece. It all works quite well.
This is just Part One of the three-part 'Patriot Purge’ series. In just twenty-five minutes you are immediately hit with a ton of information about January 6th that you would not have known about if you were just watching CNN or reading The New York Times. Part One moves very fast and makes you want to jump to Part Two right away.
